Plett Seal Adventures offers you a 1,5-hour guided Seal Swimming trip in the Robberg nature reserve – a marine protected area in Plettenberg Bay. A fun outdoor activity for the whole family, where no experience is needed.
We meet 30 minutes before departure at our office, located at the bottom of Meeding street, Hobie beach parking area, next to the showers. All equipment needed is supplied.
An exciting 20-minute boat ride takes you to the colony where over 6000 fur seals are waiting for you. Time to jump in and have some fun with these playful and very curios creatures. The guides are with you in the water during the entire experience, making sure you are having a great time. The swim lasts 30 minutes and then a scenic, fun ride back to the beach for a shower. The guides are taking photo’s off the trip, that you can download for FREE at our website.

Swimming and snorkling with the seals was a phantastic experience. We never thougt getting so close to these wild but extremely friendly animals and beeing part of their game! We were surrounded by so many of these elegant swimmers! They looked directly in our eyes and even nudged us to play with them - awesome and very emotional!! What an amazing experience!!! The staff were friendly, helpful & made us feel totally at ease in our aquatic environment. We had so much fun swimming amongst the seals and observing their behaviour. What an amazing experience my daughter and I had in December with Plett Seal Adventures. Great staff and guides to get you set up and ready for the experience at a very well appointed and situated location. It all worked so easily. The boat trip was short and then the experience of being in the water with the seals was incredible. With crystal clear water on a sunny day, I was able to get some great footage of the seals as they circled and around and played with us. Their behavior and curiosity make a great interaction with the younger seals playing up and getting really close. Overall, a magical experience! Thank you ... Andrew & Erin Stewart - Andrew
